Inmate bites hand of Corrections Officer

Kittanning, Pa. – Pennsylvania State Tpr. Clinton Mearkle reported an incident of Aggravated Assault after an inmate bit a corrections officer at the Armstrong County Jail on November 25, 2017.

According to the public information report, an inmate located at the Armstrong County Jail refused to hand the Correction Officer his meal tray. After multiple commands to give up the tray, the correction Officers attempted to take the tray from the inmate. The inmate then bit one of the Correction Officers on the left hand.

Appropriate charges were to be filed at Honorable J. Gary Decomo Magisterial District Justice Office on Fifth Avenue in Ford City, Pa.
