Alle-Kiski Valley, Pa. – The heat wave continues for residents of the A-K Valley with temperatures reaching the 90 degree mark and the “real feel” temperatures hitting 95 degrees. Residents are reminded to pay close attention to the elderly and young children during this dangerous weather pattern.
Pet owners should keep their furry friends well hydrated and provide a cool place during the intense heat of the day. Cooling centers have been opened up in select areas of Pittsburgh. Residents without air conditioning should keep fans running and drink plenty of water.
Temperatures later this week are expected to drop by approximately 15-20 degrees with overnight temperatures much more comfortable.
