Harrison Township Police busy with Tuesday afternoon crashes; 2 transported

Harrison Township, Pa. – Police in Harrison Township responded to two separate car crashes on Tuesday afternoon near Arnold and Sons Hardware Store and a second crash on Burtner Road near Harvard Avenue.

The first crash involved two vehicles on the Southbound side of old 28 at Rambler Drive. Harrison Police called for two EMS trucks to the scene for evaluations with one elderly gentleman transported to a Pittsburgh Hospital. The cause of that crash remains under investigation. Freeport EMS assisted at the scene transporting one other patient from the scene.

Both vehicles sustained moderate damages.

The second crash occurred at Burtner Road and Harvard Avenue with one vehicle sustaining moderate front end damages. Law Enforcement Officer Chris Cottone advised 911 dispatch there were no injuries to report at the scene.

Both crashes were cleared before 5:00 pm. Terry’s Towing of Brackenridge was called to the scene/s to assist with towing.
