Harrison Township burglary suspect faces multiple felony charges

Harrison Township, Pa. – After leading Harrison Township Police on a nearly 10 mile police pursuit, burglary suspect Jeffrey Rahiem Chambers Jr., age 36 of Pittsburgh faces multiple felony charges after allegedly burglarizing a Natrona Heights church late Tuesday night.

Chambers sped away from the church after parking in a lot next to St. Joseph’s School when the pursuit began. ( See Previous Story ) Chambers attempted to elude police by driving without his headlights on to avoid identification of the stolen vehicle he was driving.

Chambers faces the following charges: F2 BURGLARY, F2 CRIMINAL TRESPASS, F3 CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, F3 RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY, F3 FLEEING OR ATTEMPTING TO ELUDE POLICE OFFICER, M1 POSSESSING INSTRUMENTS OF CRIME – CRIMINAL INSTRUMENT, M2 (2 Counts) INSTITUTIONAL VANDALISM, M3 INJURING OR TAMPERING WITH FIRE APPARATUS, M3 LOITERING AND PROWLING AT NIGHTTIME and 6 other traffic violations during the pursuit.

A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for 06/27/2018 @ 1:00 pm before the Honorable Magisterial District Judge Carolyn S. Bengel.
