Ford City woman charged with child endangerment/resisting arrest

Ford City, Pa. – A Ford City woman faces charges of Felony 3 Child Endangerment after PSP Kittanning responded to a domestic incident @ 1703 5th Avenue – Apartment F just after midnight Friday morning.

Through the investigation, it was found that Brittany Leigh Roshto, age 27 of Ford City was under the influence of alcohol when her and a male victim got into an argument. Roshto began striking victim #1 multiple times with a closed fist while she was holding her 2 year-old son. During the incident, victim #2 heard the argument and opened the front door to her apartment and said she was going to call the police.

Roshto kicked the front door open and said call the cops. The front door struck victim #2 and knocked her backwards injuring her left are and lower back. Roshto was placed under arrest and began to resist and scream profanities while she was being walked to the patrol vehicle. After Roshto was placed in the rear passenger seat of the patrol vehicle, she began kicking the door and rear passenger seat multiple times.

Roshto was charged with F3 Endangering Welfare of Children – Parent/Guardian/Other Commits Offense, M2 Resist Arrest/Other Law Enforcement, S Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact S Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact and S Criminal Mischief – Damage Property.

A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled on 08/07/2018 @ 9:00 am before the Honorable Magisterial District Judge J. Gary Decomo. Roshto is currently in custody at the Armstrong County Jail in lieu of $5,000 monetary bond.
