Brackenridge, Pa. – Firefighters from Brackenridge are pumping water from the Allegheny River into the pumphouse at the corner of First Avenue and Morgan Street late Tuesday night forcing the closure of First Avenue due to a fire hose crossing the roadway.

Sources close to the scene said the issues appear to be a clogged inlet to the pumps. Brackenridge Police Chief Jamie Bock said several alley ways from Morgan Street to Mile Lock are blocked off to prevent motorists from getting to First Avenue.

River Road in Harrison Township is currently closed off due to a sewer construction project. AKVNEWS will update this story as more details are released.
