Brackenridge, Pa. – Firefighters in Brackenridge responded to a house fire in the 900 block of Cleveland Avenue just before 11:00 pm Monday night after the exterior of the 2 story structure caught fire possibly due to fireworks.

Crews quickly laid lines tapping hydrants and laddered to a rear porch roof to gain access to the second floor while crews extinguished fire near the eaves of the structure.

Brackenridge was assisted at the scene by Tarentum EMS and fire crews. The Allegheny County fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate. The house is believed to be vacant. Crews were on scene for more than an hour and a half. Damages to the rear of the structure appeared to be moderate.
