One resident who lives nearby the duplex told AKVNEWS she heard several popping sounds, then several more when the fire apparently broke out prompting her to call 911.

At the front of the structure, the roof burned out and caved into the house. There were no reports of any injuries. The Allegheny County Fire Marshall, and all utilities were summoned to the scene. It was not immediately clear if the structure was occupied according to a building manager on scene.
