FedEx truck mechanical failure causes oil mess on Murray Hill Road

East Deer Township, Pa. – Police and Frazer fire department responded to an oil spill on the bend at Murray Hill Road about 12:20 pm Thursday afternoon after a FedEx truck lost a large amount of engine oil causing hazardous conditions for motorists.

Crews at the scene spread a large amount of oil dry on the roadway while traffic control in both directions was needed until the oil slick was mostly cleared from the pavement. Terry’s Towing of Brackenridge towed the truck from the scene. No injuries were reported. Crews cleared the scene about 2:00 pm.
