Father of accused cop killer to stand trial on strangulation charges

New Kensington, Pa. – The father of accused New Kensington cop killer Rahmael Holt has waived all charges to court after a preliminary hearing held today in the courtroom of District Magistrate Frank J. Pallone Jr.

Gregory Paul Baucum, age 47 of Victoria Avenue was charged with F1 Aggravated Assault, F2 Strangulation – Blocking the Nose and Mouth of the Person, M2 Simple Assault, S Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact and Intimidate Witness after Buacum’s then girlfriend Stacy Lynn Myers told Baucum that Holt admitted to his mother that he killed Law Enforcement Officer Brian Shaw.

Myers was allegedly assaulted and strangled in retaliation for information given to police after Officer Shaw was shot and killed during a traffic stop on Leishman Avenue on November 17, 2017.

Baucum was returned to the Westmoreland County jail awaiting a Formal Arraignment on 03/21/2018 @ 8:30 am Courtroom 7 before the The Honorable Rita D. Hathaway. Charges in this case were filed by Arresting Officer Chrisopher J. Cesnalis PSP Kittanning Baracks.
