AKVNEWS.COM spoke with the homeowner who said they lost everything in the 2-story portion of the house while the other side of the structure sustained a significant amount of smoke damage. The homeowner said he believes the cause of the fire was an air conditioner. The couple had just began their day as the wife was taking her mother to the doctors in Ford City and her husband had just left for work. Sadly, approximately 45 minutes later, the wife said she received a call that her house was on fire. The house is insured and no injuries were reported.

When AKVNEWS.COM arrived on scene, firefighters from Apollo and Kiski were overhauling the lower floor of the structure tossing out fiberglass insulation and household items. At least 6 fire companies assisted Kiski Township VFD.
