Early morning armed robbery at Subway on Tarentum Bridge Road

New Kensington, Pa. – Police in New Kensington are investigating an early morning armed robbery at the Subway Restaurant after a white male wearing an “AE’ type coat or shirt robbed the store.

Detective DiGicobbe said the male had a semi-automatic gun, pointed it at the employee who complied with his request giving him an unspecified amount of money. The actor is described as 6′ medium build wearing a Royal Blue Hoodie, light blue jeans and dark shoes. He also wore a large cap and had a blue in color bandana with a design on it. The male also had on light colored latex gloves.

The male fled out the back door that faces Giant Eagle and was not located. Assisting was Springdale Twp Police K-9 and several other local police departments.
