Brackenridge man faces felony charges after theft in Harrison Township

Harrison Township, Pa. – (STORY UPDATE) One person is in custody after a pickup truck was reported stolen at the Sheetz store along Freeport Road in Harrison Township at 11:26 am Tuesday morning.

Harrison Township Police Detective Joe Signorella said the suspect was apprehended in Lower Burrell by Law Enforcement Officer Steve Aulerich at the Dollar Tree in Parnassus along Logans Ferry Road. The stolen vehicle was a white Chevrolet pickup truck with ladders and lettering on the door; Shoops.

Constable Jeff Killian was called in to transport Michael Speers from Harrison Township Lockup to the Honorable Judge Honorable David J. Sosovicka’s court in Harmarville for a preliminary arraignment.

Story Update on 8/3/2017: Spears faces a Preliminary Hearing on 08/09/2017 @ 1:00 pm before the Honorable Magisterial District Judge Carolyn S. Bengel. Spears was formally charged with F3 THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING and F3 RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY. Spears is currently lodged in the Allegheny County Jail in lieu of $20,000 straight bond.
