Arnold, Pa. – One man is arrested in Arnold after police observe a “person of interest” in the vicinity of Drey Street and Constitution Boulevard near the All Seasons Convenience Store Friday evening.
On September 8, 2017, Arnold Police Officers were advised to conduct Narcotic Interdiction Patrols by Arnold Police Chief Eric Doutt. Law Enforcement Officer Wes Biricocchi said the incident began when Travis Lasko, age 35 of Arnold was seen walking from the 1900 block of Kenneth Avenue to a Silver Mini-Van parked on Drey Street at the convenience store. Officers Biricocchi and Rutkoski moved towards the vehicle and conducted a felony stop in the 700 block of Drey Street.
Travis Lasko was held at gunpoint while the driver was advised to keep his hands on the steering wheel. Lasko was removed from the vehicle and advised he had an arrest warrant from State Parole and became confrontational with officers. Lasko continued to pull away from officers and reach into his shirt pocket. He was taken to the ground by officers and placed in handcuffs.
Arnold Police seized a brown paper bag containing 4.5 oz. of cocaine, a loaded semi-automatic Springfield 9mm handgun, $5700 in cash and a small amount of marijuana. Lasko’s criminal history showed felony drug convictions in 2010 and 2015. Lasko is a person not to possess a firearm. He was transported to New Kensington holding cells where he was subsequently arraigned.
Charges filed in the incident: F2 Possession Of Firearm Prohibited, F3 Firearms Not To Be Carried W/O License, F Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, 2 counts M2 Resist Arrest/Other Law Enforce, M Int Poss Controlled Substance By Per Not Reg, M Poss Of Marijuana and M Use/Poss Of Drug Paraphernalia.
A Preliminary Hearing is scheduled on 09/21/2017 @ 10:00 am before the Honorable Magisterial District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr. Lasko was transported to the Westmoreland County jail in lieu of $25,000 straight bond.
