Arnold Police investigating two shooting incidents

Arnold, Pa. – Police in Arnold are investigating a shooting that occurred near the corner of McCandless Street and Leishman Avenue Tuesday afternoon about 3:45 pm.

Arnold Police Chief Eric Doutt said 2 cars were seen fleeing the area after possibly 7 shots were fired. the two cars were possibly a white Jeep Cherokee or Patriot and a silver Ford Fusion. The vehicles passed each other in the 1600 block of Leishman where one witness said there were bullet holes in the white Jeep and one round stuck the front door of a residence on Leishman. Thankfully no one was hurt said Chief Doutt.

The residents/occupants were inside at the time of the shooting, but no one was injured. Police checked the area with negative results, however 7 empty 9mm shell casings were located.

Cheif Doutt also said the Fusion possibly had out-of-state plates but he was not able to confirm that.

Still under investigation is the shooting that occurred on Sunday, but no new lead have been discovered in that incident. The victim of the shooting has not be cooperative with police in identifying the shooter.
