PAUL FIELD MEMORIAL BACK TO SCHOOL BASH
TO BE HELD AUG. 19
FREE SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO KICK OFF THE YEAR RIGHT!

Students in the Highlands School District area are invited to the annual Paul Field Memorial Back to School Bash from 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, August 19 at 917 Brackenridge Ave. in Brackenridge.

Students in the Highlands School District area from grades Pre-K to grade 12 can register to receive a backpack with free school supplies at the August 19 event. Generations House of Worship is excited to support the Salvation Army Allegheny Valley Corps in its memorial tribute to Mr. Paul Field, a Brackenridge resident who donated supplies to neighborhood kids. Georgetta and Meghan Field, the widow and daughter of Paul, partnered with their church, Allegheny Valley Corps Salvation Army, in honoring his tradition with the annual event, which now serves hundreds of students each year. Lat year, more than 350 students were served!

The Back to School Bash is a community festivity that prepares students for the beginning of the school year. In addition to the school supplies, students are able to receive haircuts and dental exams.

The event is a family fun activity, with music by BMW the DJ, refreshments, bounce houses and a dunk tank, first responder equipment on display, demos by local youth sports activities, and performances by the Salvation Army youth and Generations House of Worship Bible school students. Various local organizations will also be on-site to sign families up for resources and services.

Parents can register their children at the Salvation Army, 917 Brackenridge Ave. from 9 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday. Registrations also will be accepted at the Salvation Army from 2 to 8 PM on Sunday, August 13. Registrations will close August 13.

An adult guardian must be on-site with their child to receive the supplies at the Back to School Bash. No exceptions.

Community members who would like to make a donation or drop new, unused supplies to the Back to School Bash may call the Salvation Army at 724-224-6310 for drop off details.
