Lower Burrell, Pa. – Lower Burrell Law Enforcement Officer Steve Aulerich said 9 patients were inside a Ford SUV when the crash occurred just before 2:00 pm Saturday afternoon in the 300 block of Dutchman Run Road.

Of the nine patients, 3 were airlifted – one from Kinloch Fire Department and 2 from Penn State University on SR 780 in Upper Burrell. Police on scene said the SUV was traveling from Greensburg Road up Dutchman Run when the operator of the vehicle lost control after dropping off the roadway. Tire marks on the roadway indicated the right front wheel dropped from the pavement. The vehicle came back onto the roadway and crossed the center-lane striking an embankment, nicking a small tree about 6′ up a hillside and rolling over coming to rest back in the proper lane.
